Patients who are told they have a high-risk or cannot undergo bypass surgery or coronary stenting procedures for advanced coronary artery disease have the opportunity to undergo coronary stenting in the J. Gerard Mudd catheterization lab with the aid of a catheter based heart pump (Impella) to support the patient during and immediately following the procedure.
