Interventional Cardiovascular Disease
Dr. Armbruster is a board certified cardiologist specializing in Interventional Cardiology and Peripheral Vascular Disease. He performs most diagnostic and interventional procedures through the wrist using the radial artery approach. Radial artery access has fewer complications and is the preferred access.
Dr. Armbruster is focused on the diagnosis and management of coronary and peripheral arterial disease as well as its many risk factors. In addition to performing interventional procedures, he also specializes in preoperative risk stratification for patients and their surgeons and is skilled in the interpretation of non-invasive cardiac imaging.
Dr. Armbruster is originally from St. Louis. He graduated Summa Cum Laude with a bachelor of science in chemistry from Creighton University in Omaha, Nebraska. He attended the School of Medicine at Saint Louis University and graduated with a Doctor of Medicine in 2006. He remained at Saint Louis University to complete an Internal Medicine residency, fellowship in Cardiovascular Disease, and a fellowship in Interventional Cardiology.
In addition to his board certification in Cardiovascular Disease, he is also Board Certified in Internal Medicine, Nuclear Cardiology and Echocardiography.
