Dr. Bjerregaard received his medical training from Aarhus University in Denmark. He did his residency and cardiology fellowship at Oklahoma University. Dr. Bjerregaard is board certified in the Danish equivalents of internal medicine and cardiovascular diseases. His main research interests are heart rhythm disturbances, the use of beta-blockers for treatment of angina pectoris, and adult congenital heart disease. Dr. Bjerregaard has served on the Saint Louis University Institutional Review Board for 8 years. Dr. Bjerregaard also serves as co-director of adult congenital heart disease at Cardinal Glennon Children's Hospital in St. Louis.
