Geriatric Medicine Boot Camp

Boot Camp 2012

The Saint Louis University Division of Geriatric Medicine is proud to sponsor a half-day “Geriatric Medicine Boot Camp: Navigating the Care Challenges of Older Adults” for internal and family medicine residents interested in advancing their knowledge in geriatrics and exploring opportunities for fellowship training in geriatrics. Topics such as delirium, wound care, hypertension and CHF, and falls will be presented.

We ask your assistance in identifying up to five residents in your program who would like to participate in this free conference at Saint Louis University School of Medicine in Saint Louis. One resident in your program is eligible to apply for an educational scholarship which includes one night hotel accommodations to attend the conference (for programs located more than 90 miles from Saint Louis), attending the Friday evening Scholars Dinner with the Saint Louis University geriatric medicine faculty, and receiving geriatric medicine educational materials including the 11th edition of the American Geriatrics Society “Geriatrics At Your Fingertips” pocket reference.

For further information and to enroll your residents in the Saint Louis University Geriatric Medicine Boot Camp, please contact Ms. Sue Brooks (brookssa@slu.edu; 314-977-8462) or myself (gammackj@slu.edu; 314-977-8457).

We look forward to meeting your trainees who are passionate about the care of our aging population!

Sincerely,

Julie K. Gammack, MDJulie K. Gammack, MD
