Dr. Cai joined the faculty of Saint Louis University School of Medicine in July 2007 after finishing her medical residency. She has broad expertise in Cell, Molecular and Developmental Biology. Her current research projects include: 1) insulin-mediated signaling pathways in the pathogenesis of NASH and hepatic fibrogenesis; 2) nuclear ferritin in the protection against DNA damage.
