Dr. Elizabeth Marsicano joined the faculty after completing her internal medicine training at the University of Miami and her gastroenterology training here at Saint Louis University. She treats patients with general gastrointestinal disorders, focusing on patients with motility and functional diseases, including constipation, diarrhea, fecal incontinence, irritable bowel syndrome, dyspepsia, and dyshagia. She has a passion for women's health, and is dedicated to providing quality, personalized care to all of her patients.
Dr. Marsicano also specializes in cancer prevention and detection. She performs procedures such as endoscopy, colonoscopy, flexible sigmoidoscopy, capsule endoscopy, pH testing, esophageal manometry, and anorectal manometry. Her research interests include treatment of pelvic floor disease, quality improvement, and the study of healthcare disparities.
Dr. Marsicano is a member of the Department of Internal Medicine in the Division of Gastroenterology & Hepatology at Saint Louis University School of Medicine. She is an assistant professor of Internal Medicine. She will be seeing patients at Saint Louis University and the SSM St. Mary's Health Center SLUCare and Des Peres SLUCare offices.
