Dr. Glenn L. Gordon is a practicing Gastroenterologist and Medical Director/President of the Center for Digestive and Liver Diseases, Inc. in Mexico, MO. Dr. Gordon has been a clinical faculty member since 1987, and began his faculty affiliation as an Adjunct Associate Professor of Internal Medicine at Saint Louis University School of Medicine in January of 2008.

Dr. Gordon earned his medical degree at the University of Antwerp in Wilrijk, Belgium. He did his residency in Internal Medicine at Mount Sinai Hospital Medical Center in Chicago, IL, and did a Fellowship in Gastroenterology at the University of Chicago Pritzker School of Medicine.

Dr. Gordon is a Fellow of the American College of Physicians, American College of Gastroenterology, American Gastroenterological Association, American Society of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy, and the American College of International Physicians. He is also a member of the American Medical Association, Missouri State Medical Association, Past presidents of the Audrain County Medical Society and American Cancer Society- Audrain Chapter, a member of the American College of Physician Executives, as well as the American College of Healthcare Executives, and currently is an active board member and Past-President of the Board of Trustees and current CMAC Chair of the Crohn’s and Colitis Foundation of America – Mid-America Chapter.

Dr. Gordon is a principal investigator involved in numerous ongoing clinical research studies and trials in IBD (inflammatory bowel disease), IBS (irritable bowel syndrome) and GERD (gastro esophageal reflux disease) and Barrett’s esophagus, having the largest single practice database of Barrett’s patients in the country. He lectures around the country on various Gastroenterology and Hepatology topics. Dr. Gordon has authored peer-reviewed journal articles, and serves as a peer-reviewer for several gastroenterology and internal medicine journals.

Dr. Gordon is Board Certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine as a diplomate in Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology.

Dr. Gordon has founded the IBD Center here at St. Louis University. The Inflammatory Bowel Disease Center is staffed by a multidisciplinary team of adult and pediatric gastroenterologists, surgeons, nurses, nutritionists and a dedicated team of researchers dedicated to the study and care of patients with Crohn's disease and ulcerative colitis.
