The University Hospital is a 356-bed Level I Trauma center that admits 12,000 patients on average per year. Medical, Surgical, Cardiac and Transplant Critical Care Units handle tertiary and quaternary cases from throughout the region, nation and from abroad.

St. Mary's Health Center is a 536-bed community hospital in a nearby affluent Saint Louis suburb. St. Mary's is primarily utilized for electives such as Women's Health, including pregnancy-induced hypertension and pregnancies accompanied by kidney disease.

The John Cochran Division of the VA Medical Center complex is the larger of the two VA divisions in SLU's program. This 355-bed hospital provides intensive care, ambulatory clinics and boasts recently renovated patient and ICU rooms.

The Doctor’s Office Building (DOB) provides clinical office space for the University Medical Group Faculty, including the Division of Nephrology. Over 100,000 Internal Medicine visits occur at the DOB annually. The DOB is located adjacent to Saint Louis University Hospital.

This 125-bed dedicated pediatric hospital houses quaternary services such as the Dan Dierdorf Level I Trauma Center, a Level III NICU and the Bob Costas Cancer Center. Electives in adolescent nephrology can be taken by fellows at CGCH.

Drummond Hall, located adjacent to the University Hospital, is the major outpatient dialysis facility for the Division. The 45-bed unit provides state-of-the-art facilities for inpatient dialysis as well as serving as a training center for peritoneal dialysis and home hemodialysis.
