Dear Students, Staff, and Faculty,

On behalf of Saint Louis University, it is my pleasure to extend a warm welcome to you. As the Vice President of the Division of Diversity and Innovative Community Engagement, I am thrilled to have you join our community.

At SLU, we are committed to fostering a community of belonging. We are committed to pioneering an institutional movement where all voices are valued, respected, and heard.

Throughout your journey here, there will be doors opened, spaces to feel safe, and groups of people to identify with. Our DICE team wants to champion you in finding a wealth of resources, support, and opportunities that can globalize your education in a diverse world and within a diverse academic community.

As a DEI practitioner of over 20 years, I cannot emphasize enough the way in which my heart has been captured by this work. It is a daily honor to serve the SLU community as a leader of impactful men and women. Collaboratively, our DICE team plans to carry out the emotional, challenging, and rewarding work of mobilizing change, connecting stories to faces on campus, and inclusively redefining community.

Founded in 1818, Saint Louis University committed itself to fostering an inclusive environment of respect and inclusion of all people, cultures, and faiths. Our DICE team has found confidence in empowering SLU’s longstanding mission, and we hope that you will partner with us in this work.

Once again, welcome to Saint Louis University. We look forward to celebrating your achievements and doing all we can to ensure that you remember this remarkable journey with fondness and pride for years to come.
