Andrea Barlett enjoys traveling, spending time with dogs, family and friends; watching whatever sport is in season — especially WNBA, NCAA women's basketball, NFL, MLB and the Olympics. She loves how the residency program has a lot of high acuity patients and interns get to jump in for procedures right away.

Alec Bold is an outdoors enthusiast who enjoys lakes, hiking, fishing and hunting. When he's not outside, he's cooking something new, hanging out with friends and family, or plotting the next escape. His favorite things about the residency program are being back home in a supportive community and having the chance to give back while training at a Level One Trauma Center. He also likes being a quick drive across the river to visit family and friends, and getting to catch Cardinals and Blues games in person.

Reese Foster enjoys hiking with her two dogs, Mookie and Emmett, soaking up sunshine, traveling, exploring new spots and trying new foods. She loves that the residency program has a very diverse patient population with high acuity, as well as her extremely supportive attendings and co-residents. She appreciates the strong sense of community and friendship amongst the program and department.

Jay Patel enjoys any specific form of photography, from professional portraits to Polaroid pictures. He is also a technology nerd, so he messes around with IT equipment and home automation, as well. He loves the residency program's strong academic focus, which is evident in activities like journal club discussions, evaluations with new equipment, and learning about return precautions or disease progression.

Ryan Smith enjoys stand-up comedy, MMA, and playing with his wife and kids. Abigail Klosterman enjoys boating, hiking, campervanning and adrenaline-rush activities. Sara Majidian enjoys playing volleyball, orange theory, laying next to any body of water (including, but not limited to, a beach, lake, river or pool), watching basketball and football (Let's go Pats!), trying new restuarants and drinking inappropriate amounts of coffee! Her favorite parts of the residency program are the people and how leaders genuinely care about resident learning and wellness. She also appreciates how the St. Louis community provides the opportunity to serve a diverse patient population with high acuity, as well as the program's many opportunities for procedures and hands-on experiences.
